Anna and her friends decided to explore the old house on Halloween night. They heard stories about it being haunted and were eager to find out the truth. Even though they were nervous, excitement pushed them inside the creaky door. The smell of dust filled the air as they walked through the dark hallway. They turned on their flashlights and saw cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise coming from the room upstairs. They hesitated, but curiosity won and they climbed the narrow, squeaky staircase. In the upstairs room, there was a big mirror covered with a dirty sheet. James, the bravest of the group, pulled off the sheet to explore. As he stared into the mirror, strange foggy figures started to appear behind him. Scared but fascinated, Anna suggested they ask who the spirits were. She had read somewhere that ghosts can sometimes communicate back. Everyone held hands around the mirror and quietly called the spirits. Suddenly, the fog shaped into images of people from a different time. One of the figures pointed towards the corner of the room. There, they found an old box filled with letters and photos. The letters revealed the tragic story of a family who had lived there long ago. Feeling their sadness, the friends decided to leave peacefully and not disturb the spirits anymore. As they left the house, they promised to keep the secret of the family safe. Their Halloween adventure became a story they would never forget, but one they would not share widely. Everyone felt thankful to have had such an extraordinary experience together.
